Mission Statement
The early childhood cross categorical, kindergarten and first grade
classes of Herrin Community Unit # 4 are an integral part of the school
program, K through 12. The kindergarten program is unique in that it is
usually the child's first experience in an organized educational program.
We attempt to give each child an education which is appropriate to his/her
stage of development, which will be immediately satisfying, in which will
be a foundation for readiness for learning experiences in the years ahead. |

Our aims are to give guidance in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child. Attention will be given to the devolvement of a healthy self-concept, positive feelings and attitudes and the expansion of natural learning drives. |
